Custom Leather Goods Manufacturing Process
This page outlines a professional OEM workflow used by importers and private label brands to achieve consistent quality across repeat orders.
1) Tech pack & specification
Start with measurements, pocket layout, leather type & gauge, lining, reinforcement points, hardware spec, edge finishing, branding placement, and packaging requirements.
2) Pattern development & prototype
We develop patterns and build a first prototype to confirm structure, feel, fit, and finishing. Feedback is captured as measurable changes (dimensions, stitch lines, reinforcement, hardware).
3) Pre‑production sample (PPS)
Once details are locked, the PPS becomes the reference standard for bulk manufacturing. This stage is critical for structured goods and premium finishing.
4) Bulk production with QC checkpoints
- Incoming leather and hardware checks
- In‑line inspections for stitching, edge paint, alignment, and reinforcement
- Final inspection for branding clarity, finishing, packaging, and carton marking
5) Packing, documentation & dispatch
We align carton labeling and packing lists to your importer requirements so inbound receiving is smooth and SKU mistakes are minimized.
Quality control & export readiness
We follow a documented QC workflow for OEM / private label production to help buyers reduce defects, delays, and rework. Your final QC checklist and packaging specs are reviewed before bulk starts.
